This article will give you information about the weapons used by India in the India-Pakistan War. India began Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. India used great-precision, long-range strike weapons during the operation. The Operation Sindoor is an intelligence-driven operation that uses satellite surveillance, human intelligence, and drone technology. It is a military campaign aimed at destroying the terrorist residential places in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). The official reports of the Indian government say that the Indian armed forces carried out precision strikes, which is considered the largest cross-border precision strike by India, since the 2019 Balakot strike.
WHICH TERRORIST CAMPS WERE TARGETED BY INDIA IN THE OPERATION SINDOOR?
The Indian government announced that, mock drill will be conducted across various places in India. The Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter jets launched from India and attacked nine terrorist establishments in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK).
The 9 terrorist establishments which India targeted in the Operation Sindoor attack are as follows:
1. Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur, Jaish-e-Mohammad.
2. Markaz Taiba, Muridke, Lashkar-e-Taiba.
3. Sarjal, Tehra Kalan, Jaish-e-Mohammad.
4. Mehmoona Joya, Sialkot, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.
5. Markaz Ahle Hadith, Barnala, Lashkar-e-Taiba.
6. Markaz Abbas, Kotli, Jaish-e-Mohammad.
7. Maskar Raheel Shahid, Kotli, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.

WEAPONS USED BY INDIA IN THE INDIA-PAKISTAN WAR
India launched missiles from its fighter planes from the Indian territory, as part of Operation Sindoor. The Indian Air Force used the Rafale fighter plane for the airstrikes on the terror camps in Pakistan and in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK).
RAFALE FIGHTER PLANE

SCALP MISSILE
The Rafale fighter planes were equipped with the SCALP Missiles. The SCALP, also called Storm Shadow, is an air-launched cruise missile. This missile is a long-range missile, with a range of about 450 kilometers. SCALP is well-known for its stealth feature, and it is capable of long-range deep strikes. The most promising feature of this missile is that it can be operated at night and in any weather.

The accuracy of the SCALP Missile is because to its advanced navigation system, which uses INS, GPS, IIR, and TERPROM. It is considered the perfect weapon for targeting hardened bunkers and ammunition stores. When the missile approaches the target, the onboard infrared seeker first matches the target image, which is put into it, for making sure that it is highly precise and there is less damage to the surrounding areas. This missile is very difficult to detect because it flies very low after being fired from a jet.
HAMMER
The hammer is a highly agile, modular munition extended range air-to-ground bomb. It is an all-weather air-to-ground precision-guided munition, which is also known as a glide bomb. This bomb has a range of about 50-70 km. It can be fitted with the standard bombs of 250kg, 500kg, and 1000 kg. The precision-guided munition is insensitive to jamming. This bomb is difficult to detect because it can be launched from low altitudes over rough terrain. This weapon is also capable of targeting fortified buildings, which makes it very efficient. The accuracy of the hammer is 10m for the CEP decametric version and 1m for the CEP metric version.

SKYSTRIKER SUICIDE DRONES
The Skystriker suicide drones were used, which were built in Bengaluru. These drone systems fly over the targeted areas. The drones identify the threats and attack them. The Skystriker suicide drones are unmanned aircraft systems that can carry out long-range and very precise tactical strikes. These drones are capable of carrying a warhead of up to 10 kg.
CONCLUSION
The Indian Defence system conducted the Operation Sindoor successfully owing to the great potential of the Indian Army, the Indian Air Force, and the Indian Navy, and also with the help of these weapons. The weapons used by India in the India-Pakistan War proved to be of great help during the crucial time.
